Want to come do yoga with me? It will be fun! I promise!
I am a bit of a self-confessed health and wellness nerd. Healthy eating, mindfulness and moving my body in a way that feels good are key factors in keeping me feeling balanced and healthy.
I discovered yoga a few years ago and quickly became addicted to the stillness and calm feeling it brought me after a stressful day at the office. For that hour and a half class I was able to let myself completely relax and be in the class. I didn’t have to think about anything but breathing, moving and feeling or even just laying down if I wanted! It was bliss! It wasn’t long before I began to notice the knock on effects of the practice in my everyday life. I became less irritable, less moody and more resilient. I found myself wanting to share the benefits I had experienced with the people around me and enrolled to become a Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher with Heather Agnew from Yoga Trinity.
People often say to me “I want to try yoga but I’m too inflexible”, It doesn’t matter if you can’t touch your toes! To me, yoga is for everyone. It’s not about Instagramming fancy yoga poses and wearing expensive yoga pants, it’s about finding what feels good for you and your body.
Yes, regular yoga practice will help increase your flexibility, but it will also help you to build strength, vitality, quiet your mind, decrease stress and tune in to your body.
Yoga looks different on everybody. As a Yoga teacher it is important to me to provide an inclusive, caring and supportive experience for people wanting to try yoga for the first time, as well as those wanting to further their practice. My aim is to support others through their own transition and to share that post yoga bliss!
What is Vinyasa Flow?
Vinyasa flow Yoga is built on movement coordinated with breath, flowing from one posture into the next. It is based on the Ashtanga Yoga tradition and classes will usually incorporate some meditation and breathing practices as well as a sequence of postures. Vinyasa flow is perfect for those wanting to build strength, flexibility and a higher level of fitness.

Start your week off by doing something just for you!
This class is perfect for people wanting to try a Vinyasa flow style yoga class for the first time. The class will begin with a guided breathing practice to establish a connection to the breath and the body before moving into a gentle warm up and a Vinyasa flow sequence. This class will build some heat in the body which is balanced by restorative poses and breathe work. The class will finish with a calming guided relaxation to melt away tension and blissfully take you into the rest of your week.
What to expect at my classes?
We will run through some breathing exercises and a flow sequence to get your blood moving before we start to relax and restore the body with a nice relaxation.
Also, as a bonus you get to listen to my lame jokes!
Send me a note to get more info about my current teaching schedule. I am also available for private Yoga classes if that is more your cup of tea.
It’s going to be awesome!
